We’re interviewing for new associates at the firm, and yesterday a candidate explained this to me about her work.

“Every single day, I do my absolute best, because my work and my career is important to me”.

Wow, that sounds like an SCN person. Can you come in tomorrow?

There are people who have approached their work this way.

And then got caught in a layoff.

And right now their company misses them.

Surreal, right?

It’s one reason why relationships between employer and employee is as low as its ever been.

A large number of people have responded!

Quiet Quitting.

Demand for Working on their terms. Remotely, flexible hours, etc.

I think though, there still is incredible power in producing great work on a consistent basis.

To the point where you would be missed if you didn’t show up tomorrow.

It may make you feel good to produce this way.

And someone will likely notice, and give you the opportunity to improve your position or your take.

A lot of the breaks in the world of work are simply not fair.

But there still is good out there … and the best way to find it is by producing consistently on a daily basis.
