Winning Mindset

7/31/2024

Yesterday the US Women’s Gymnastics Team won gold in Paris.

Their ‘Redemption Tour’ (because they got silver at the last Olympics in Tokyo). Quite a standard they have set for themselves.

Above all else, their focus on reclaiming gold this year was driven by their winning mindset.

The winning mindset was lost in Tokyo, especially for Simone Biles, who couldn’t perform many of the events at her typical high caliber level (because of a case of the ‘twisties’ which caused her mind to be completely off).

Even though Simone had nothing to prove, she chose to come back for another Olympic run with Team USA, and lead the team to new heights in Paris.

An incredible example of a winning mindset in play.

She cemented herself as the greatest gymnast of all-time, the most decorated and the most skilled (when Phelps and Serena are in the house watching, GOATS themselves, she’s got to be a GOAT herself). We’ll see how she does in the individual events, but the main goal of reclaiming team gold is in the bucket now.

Quite a journey for miss Biles, especially since she was placed into foster care by her parents at a young age, then adopted and raised by her grandmother … where the development of the winning mindset began.

Going for gold is out of reach for most … but a winning mindset isn’t … just gotta find it … especially when adversity is at its peak.

68-90, sunshine.

Make it a great day, everyone!
