Tell Me Why You are Interested in this position?


It’s perhaps the most critical part of any interview and the answer will have the greatest impact on whether you get the job or not.


Here are the quick highlights to hit:

1. Make sure you thoroughly understand the job description and the company .. and explain how these connect to your career trajectory.

2. Understand the manager … try to explain why you’d like to work for that person in as sincere a way as possible (i.e. I see you started as a product engineer, and then got promoted to manager … I think you are someone who could teach me how to do that …. and I’ll be sure to earn everything given to me and to reciprocate your goodwill with great effort and results).

 3. Bring the energy.
