Had a blast last night.
Literally.
Ice storm, caused leaning 50 year old trees to fall onto 45K volts of power lines in the back yard.
Tree catching fire.
Boom.
Fortunately the explosion and tree falling were a simultaneous event that also ended the fire.
De-esculation from Defcon 2 back to Defcon 4.
Firemen came to the scene.
Still waiting for the DTE crew.
Service people rock.
Quick hats off to anyone who provides support in this world.
Administrative assistants, field service, first responders, dental assistants, physician’s assistants, military personnel, hospitality, etc.
These are the people that make this world go … behind the scenes work.
Hard, meaningful, work.
In the case of the DTE crews … dangerous work.
Thank you everyone.
No smells yet of fried chicken in the back yard.
Hopefully the DTE crews will get there soon, and get the live wires back to where they need to be.
I have mixed thoughts right now regarding where the squirrel who stole the food from my bird feeder might meander.
