Recently a candidate sent in a notice regarding a job advertisement that they applied for, “no longer interested”. Wasn’t interested based on what he saw in writing.

Coincidentally, that exact same candidate is actively involved in the interview process for the exact same position, because of the relationship developed with the recruiter who reached out to him.

The recruiter presented the opportunity in such a way, that the candidate’s interest was peaked.

There are many reasons why developing talent access pipelines shouldn’t only be focused on active candidates, and this is one of them.
