Q2, Charge or Pull Back?

Voila, Q2 is upon us.

In 23 years of business, signs point to it being our best quarter yet.

Crossing fingers …. avoiding walking under umbrellas … avoiding black cats …. not walking under ladders.

Definitely not walking up them either, by the way.

Economic gloom and doom still dominates the headlines.

Negative press sells.

It’s not news though.

It’s a media marketing strategy … fear.

Interest rates and inflation still pose real challenges for a thriving economy.

End of last week, a client that we have worked with for 23 years, told us they are still not hiring from the outside, holding on to their purse strings.

But there is still huge opportunity for people interested in making moves.

Another long time client called in last week, panicking.

“We need people”.

They are investing more $ in hiring than ever.

They need to service existing customers.

Also, they see an opportunity to grab market share, and dart ahead of the competition.

These are the companies that should be in the vanguard, 2024 and beyond.

Great people are needed to hit growth goals and targets.

And bonuses.

Everyone who is employed has an indicator on how their company is approaching Q2 and beyond.

What is the CEO saying and doing?

How are the functional VPs leading?

Pushing for expansion or pulling back?

It’s a critical time to observe the indicators at your company, because there is no clear market direction right now.

39 degrees, but the sun is peaking through.

Mixed signals, just like the market … but we’re half-full over here, and sunshine is clear cause for excitement!

Make it a great day, everyone!
