“I’m swamped”.

That’s what a VP told one of our stellar search consultants during a consulting call yesterday.

A great automation sales candidate was in play and interested in the position (after an arduous search process).

But the client hadn’t moved in getting the person on-board.

“I’ve been putting out fires”.

OK, how will your business be impacted if you don’t move on this person?

More fires.

Less sales.

Less bonus.

“OK, let me work with HR, and get the offer out ASAP”.

Everyone is busy.

Prioritizing hiring though … especially if the position is an open req … it’s impossible to fully measure the benefit.

Every VP knows it’s huge to have a full team in place … just think of the extra work and pressure that is put on others when a slot is not filled.

People can only plug the holes in the damn for so long, before the damn breaks open.
