Politics

10/25/2024

Office politics … office politics …

Not national politics … who isn’t exhausted at this stage … let’s get the election over with. Ha.

Office politics … they used to be a thing .. a huge part of the corporate business world.

Go into the office, develop relationships with people, try to win favor of ‘the boss’, and ‘their boss’, and so on.

In a lot of companies, the hard drivers would stay in the office late into the evening, 8, 9, 10, or 11 PM or after.

Putting in the corporate time, trying to get ahead in the game.

OK … 2024 … the vast majority of white collar workers want to be remote, or largely remote.

Seems like those willing to go into the office, and get the facetime with the corporate brass, will have the best chance to get ahead (which today means hold onto their job … and at some point could mean a promotion, more compensation, etc.).

Or no?

Or, is the impact of office politics a thing of the past?

It’s another interesting wrinkle in the world of business.

People are still people … and when more than one person is involved, there is at least a certain amount of political influence at play.

And the winner of the 2024 Presidential Election will be ….

43-60, a bit of rain this morning.

Make it a great day, everyone!
