The magical season for the Detroit Lions came to an end this past weekend.

It’s easy to point to the four turnovers as a reason for the loss.

I think the larger issue is that the Lions were just too thin in the ranks, having lost so many key players, especially defensively, during the course of the season.

Having luck with injuries is usually a factor for teams that make it deep into the playoffs.

Losing a player to an injury who can’t go, isn’t unlike a corporation losing key people to the competition. The team becomes immediately different.

People are paramount to an organization’s success, and this year, just too many people went down for the team.

Thank you, Detroit Lions.

You gave us Michiganders a bunch of thrills year.
