No Hate Here

2/25/2025

We had a client cancel our agreement with them recently.

Hiring manager wanted to work with us, and the HR Department said no.

In this particular company, it sure seems as if the HR team wields the power and influence on everything and anything hiring related.

Even though the manager isn’t getting the people he needs to be successful, he got cut off at the knees when engaging in a conversation with SCN.

Our agreement being torn up was part of the carnage.

In days past, I probably would have gotten upset.

Or even challenged them … ‘what are you doing, don’t you know what you are passing on here?’ … ha …

Honestly, it’s just another blip at this stage in the business cycle.

It’s an absolutely huge mistake in my opinion, knowing the unique offering of our firm and their specific needs.

But just because somebody makes a decision in business, doesn’t mean that it’s a good one, or a bad one. It’s just a decision and you need to accept it and move forward.

We have so many clients that go out of their way to thank us for providing a service to them, that they haven’t found elsewhere.

These companies who appreciate our service, is where we spend the most time.

On to the next.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve you, we appreciate the time we had together.

We understand you are going in a different direction and wish you all the best in the future.

We don’t burn bridges, and who knows, maybe our paths will cross again in the future. You have a great company, and under the right circumstances, we’d certainly welcome the conversation about supporting you again in the future.

In the meantime, good luck to you and we wish you nothing but the best.

We’ve already pivoted.

Things often times don’t go your way. That’s part of the fun.

The continuous pursuit of success.

But burning bridges, badmouthing, living in the lane of hate … it’s not the SCN way.

The daylight is longer now. 37-50 degrees, some rain, some sun. There are still some headwinds to overcome, but spring will be here in a few weeks, March 20th officially.

Make it a great day, everyone!
