Move Quickly When Hiring

A terrific sales candidate came into our network recently.

As purveyor’s of great industry talent, we quickly introduced him to a few companies in the space who we knew could benefit quickly from this person’s product knowledge and business relationships.

No surprise, two companies became immediately interested in hiring this person.

Company A, moved quickly, produced a great offer, and showed incredible attention to detail throughout the process.

Company B, did the first interview quickly, but then the the process stalled, as the managers fought for internal approvals.


If you had to guess …. which company did the candidate go work for ….?

Ha.

OK, more serious question …. which company is going to grow sales more quickly now?

A sales territory like the ones this person will handle is about $4M in sales, and at a 40% top line margin, that’s $1.6M of incremental $GM … potentially … annually … for company A.

Moving quickly when hiring is a great formula for getting the talent needed to win in the marketplace.
