We’ve been straggling along with a client on a key engineering search, but we’re close to the finish line.

The search started, in Q4 of 2024, and the hiring market was fairly tight at the time.

Now we’re almost into March, and the hiring market is heating up.

The diligence and patience that was paramount earlier in the search, didn’t kill the candidate pool.

Now, candidates are falling off, because of the slow pace in the hiring process.

The hiring team hasn’t adjusted to the market yet, but we’re trying our best to get them to see the light.

The hotter the market, quicker searches and higher $ offers rule the day.

Markets matter, and as of late it’s starting to heat up a bit.


The SE-MI weather is mirroring the hiring market here in 2025. Starting to heat up a bit as well, 35-43 degrees and clouds.

In both cases, still away to go before mid-summer heat hits.
