Manager Influence
8/14/2024
Had a chat with a recently retired corporate executive last night.
He’s in his mid 50’s, and wanted to keep working for several more years, but had to retire early because of his deteriorating health. The specific CEO he reported to, was too challenging to work for. Multiple personalities. Unrealistic expectations. Screamer.
Volatile.
It’s easy for managers to take for granted the people beneath them, but hopefully if you have influence over others you realize your impact that you have on the lives of those underneath you.
Not only professionally.
But personally and even health-wise as well.
It’s a big responsibility.
61-82, sunshine. These are the days.
Make it a great day, everyone!
