Hiring Trends in 2024
1/3/2024
2023 saw a reduction in recruiters by up to 50% in some sectors, as companies scaled back and laid off workers.
The tech sector lead the charge, laying off hundreds of thousands of employees in 2023 … (so far so good in 2024 … no outrageous layoff announcements as they started in early January of 2023 and kept going all year long).
Hiring Trends in 2024 (according to Forbes):
1. Intentionality Regarding Hybrid Work – can’t be 100% remote always
2. Upskilling – improving skills, especially as it relates to technology
3. Automation – companies are trying to increase the use of automation in hiring
4. Predictive Analytics and Data Driven HR – using numbers to make decisions
5. DEI – Increasing emphasis in 2024 and beyond
Curious what your thoughts are on the most important trends for hiring (or choosing where to work)?
Make it a great day, everyone!
