Yesterday, I went to the dentist for a bi-annual check-up and the hygienist was new, fresh out of school a few months ago.

Best hygienist teeth cleaning experience that I’ve had after 54 laps.

The service was white glove.

She offered an idea that even the dentist had never heard before, and I received many helpful suggestions that I’ll put to good use.


And I only felt like I was going to die for a few minutes there instead of the normal 60 minute full court press.


Early career people learn the latest and greatest techniques that are taught at universities, and they can offer a fresh perspective for stagnant or growing teams.

And they offer hope and promise for the future.

While it’s impossible to replace years of experience of tried-and-true veterans, sometimes there is benefit to hiring an early career person and training them.

You might be positively surprised, as I was yesterday, the right early career person can make a wonderful contribution to the team.


And I’m happy to report, no cavities.

What a win for the Tigers yesterday? Can the magic last, or is the end of the road near?


45-66, fall is here, but it’s wonderful.
