An elderly family member, age 85 lives alone in a small town.

Other family members want to check on him.

But he won’t let them anywhere near his home, let alone inside the home.

Isolation.

Several people want to help him along.

But he refuses most of it .. (does meet them down the street at a library).


In the remote world of work, does an isolation mindset take over … even partially?

Not reaching out for help.

But also not letting others in.

Stubbornness even?

70% of Americans are seeking new jobs in 2024.

I can’t help but wonder if remote workers were more proactive in asking for help, would it have lead to an improved situation?
