About half of them were thriving.
The other half struggling.
Similar products and markets.
Similar opportunities.
The companies who are struggling, have not adapted or changed anything recently.
The companies who are thriving, did make changes (process, target markets, new customers, etc.).
Making a change in a company is challenging, and typically takes awhile. But companies who are committed to sustainable growth and profitability, are willing to make changes.
Probably a good sign for you when considering a career change yourself … take a look at the company, have they adapted to the market?
