A new trend in the job posting world, is that fake jobs are being posted (article form Yahoo News).

A recent study showed that over 22% of job postings on some job boards are ‘fake’ postings.

Another recent survey showed that 39% of hiring managers said their company posted fake job listings this past year.

One of the reasons companies post jobs is to project ‘growth’, even if they are not growing.

Another could be just getting resumes to build the database.

And some managers say they post fake jobs to keep their own employees on their toes!


There you have it … if you applied to a job, and you are not getting called back … this could be why.
