Former Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford and his wife Kelly were back in Detroit last week, to cut the ribbon on a new, $4M addition to the recreation center on the city’s east side run by @Mitch Albom’s nonprofit, SAY.

The Staffords contributed more than $1M to the project.

It says an incredible deal about the relationship that Stafford has had with the City of Detroit, even though he was traded away to the LA Rams a few years ago.

Sometimes in the professional world we say good-by to those we have shared time with.

But it doesn’t mean that we can’t keep a positive relationship with them.
