Maybe the most important word in recruiting.
Without feedback, the process stalls.
One of the internal recruiters at a client got slightly annoyed with one of our Search Consultants recently, “I’ll give you feedback once I have it …”.
Not her fault.
She’s in an incredibly difficult spot.
Her hiring manager isn’t communicating, and at the same time is putting unrealistic expectations on the candidate, the offering, and the timeline.
She knows the candidate could fall off if feedback isn’t provided.
And she has bonuses and job stability based on her ability to deliver.
Tough place to be … she cares … so she is stressed.
We always front load our conversations with candidates about the need for feedback during the process, and we try to do it with our clients as well.
With feedback, all parties know where they stand at all times during the process.
A must have for successful recruiting outcomes.
