We had a client that conducted a haphazard recruiting process, recently.

No feedback.

Drug on for several weeks.

The manager stood during the interviews, because he was in a hurry to get to the next project. He was absolutely swamped, 24/7. He wasn’t going to get roped into the interview process.

He didn’t give out his email address. Didn’t answer many questions. Directed all questions to HR.

Most of the candidates were put off by this. They weren’t shown the attention they felt they deserved.

I can’t blame them either, where you go to work every day has to be a good fit and this was not standard protocol.

Flash forward, someone has been offered the role, and gladly accepted and is excited to do great things in the position.

It’s the right fit for each side.

When it’s an out of the box company, style, or approach … we just keep rolling. Executing our process. We knew there would be someone out there for the position.
