Drowning At the Office … Home Office

9/16/2024

Serious minded employees who are conscientious about their work are starting to drown a bit at their office … home office.

Reason … most companies are holding firm on reducing costs which includes a reduction in headcount.

But the work that needs to be completed is still there … it has not vanished.

Person leaves … don’t backfill the role … let’s call it attrition.

Person isn’t performing … person is let go … don’t hire the replacement, instead let’s re-allocate the work to someone else, on top of what they are doing already.

Short-term cost saving benefits vs. sustainable employment through proper work proportions … a challenge in the workplace that has been there from the jump … and it’s not going anywhere in the future. Right now, some people are doing the work that typically is handled by 2 or 3 other workers.

Today’s market is highly skewed towards companies over-working the employees, and in keeping headcount tight.

Most employees need life lines these days to stay aflot.

And because of it … based on our inbound job seeker activity … many are starting to look for a new boat.

59-83, sunshine.

Make it a great day, everyone!
