We just lost a great candidate on a tight search because of some delays in the interviewing process.

It’s nobody’s fault per se, schedules had to be met, certain people were out of the office, etc.

It happens.

It’s one of the most challenging aspects of being in recruiting.

Matching a candidate’s hiring timeline with that of the hiring organization.

And this challenge is typically magnified during the summer vacation season.

The options for solving this Challenge:

1. Empower front line managers to fully offer and on-board candidates (as opposed to waiting for executive approval)

2. Establish a hiring timeline at the front of the interview process

3. Prioritizing hiring on the to do’s … important and urgent quadrant
