Culture is People

5/7/2024

Had nice conversation with a President of a Tier 1 Automotive Supplier over the weekend.

Culture was the topic.

He’s trying to change it. Many people have dropped the ball, and it’s time to turn it around. Problems with quality, service, etc.

What’s the checklist to get started?

I’ve always felt it’s hard to force culture onto people. A checklist of how to behave doesn’t really work well in 2024.

But if you hire the right people, and treat them fairly, then the culture will form itself.

Culture is fluid.

Add different people into the mix, the culture changes.

Same if people leave or are removed.

Culture is people … who they are, what they do, how they do it.

It’s difficult to explain to people what culture should be, but if it’s good you’ll sure know it.

Curious about the culture experiences in your career.

41-71, clouds.

Make it a great day, everyone!
