One of the biggest mistakes that I see in the hiring process, is making assumptions without context and understanding.
He’s a job hopper.
She was let go.
Too much experience.
Too little experience.
We can’t afford her.
His compensation too low, he must not be good.
Etc.
Complex situations such as the history of a career, typically require complex explanations and understanding. It’s impossible to understand details of a career without the ‘why’.
But the pace of work, often prevents managers from digging deep, to truly understand if a candidate is a match for their opening.
That’s where a trusted recruitment partner comes into play.
