Recruiting is a hard profession, especially during the first few years. Many people quit because of the grind that is required.

Many others ‘almost quit’, but then stick it out, and eventually find success.

The ‘almost quitters’, who stuck it out are always my favorite stories. They made it through when their back was up against it.

US Gymnast Suni Lee’s story is a great one.

A couple of years ago, she was diagnosed with 2 types of kidney diseases, she struggled mightily with illness, couldn’t practice … almost quit several times … but somehow she fought back, beat the longest of odds and made it to Paris.

So far she’s got a gold in the team competition and a bronze in the women’s all around.

Not too shabby for someone who’s back was up against it.
