A Proper Search

We had 3 candidates go in for final interviews on a position recently, and they were all ‘slam dunks’. But they all fell through for various reasons, and now we’re in the process of scheduling interviews for the next set of candidates.

Another search we struggled like crazy finding the desired profile, presented one out of the box option on paper, who was way above the target compensation range for the position, and the client moved quick and offered and hired this person right away.

You never fully know how a search will end up!

But if you conduct a proper search, the probability of placing the best-fit candidate is high.

Highlights of a Proper Search

1. All viable candidates ‘on paper’ / ‘on screens’ are identified

2. All viable candidates are contacted on various channels

3. A targeted, shortened list is created which contains candidates with the highest probability of being placed, based on communication back to us, and a variety of other specifications

4. SCN recruiters persistently pursue the shortened list and all viable candidates are presented

5. The client whittles down the list

6. Interviews are scheduled

7. Best-Fit candidates are on-boarded

Tons of feedback, communication, and consulting in between.

It’s hard work conducting a proper search.

But it’s necessary for clients who believe hiring is important.

What’s also important … another great day weather-wise here in SE-MI, 70 degrees and sunny.

Make it a great Friday everyone!
