3/8/24 – International Women’s Day
3/8/2024
On this day especially, I’d like to extend my sincerest appreciation and admiration for all of the women out there who are doing their best to make this world a better place.
One of the best measures of a society, is how the women are treated in that society, and there is still room for improvement here in the US.
In 1963, a woman made 59 cents for each dollar earned by a man.
Today, women on average still earn 84 cents for each dollar earned by a man in aggregate, and 99 cents on the dollar when the qualifications are similar.
A community also is only as good as it’s treatment of women and for those with diverse backgrounds.
At SCN – Search Consulting Network, we have women who are established and dominate their recruiting space. We also have mid-career women who are starting to excel, and many promising early career women who are making an impact already.
We also have many talented and dedicated women, behind the scenes that truly keep our operation together on a daily basis.
I’m incredibly proud to be associated with each of you, thank you for your service.

I’d especially like to recognize SCN’s, Barbara Castellini on this day.
Barb has been with us over 3 years, and has made excellent progress as a professional Recruiter.
She’s also a passionate advocate for women’s initiatives and anything DEI related.
Barb has taken a leadership role within SCN and has organized events, sent out notices internally, and has posted content on social media.
She’s a champion for progress, and her energy in these regards is infectious, in a positive way.
Barb’s bringing attention to these important areas of the modern professional world, has made SCN a better place to be, not just for the women, but for all of us.
Yesterday, some of the SCN women gathered, at an event Barb organized and I could not be more appreciative and supportive of this endeavor.
Thank you everyone, and I look forward to an incredibly bright future with each of you.
