Position Highlight:
· Full-Time Direct Hire
· Title: Resident Thermal Systems Engineer
Background Requirements:
· Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related field
· Experience:
· Experience in thermal systems engineering, preferably in automotive or electrification projects
· Hands-on experience with thermal system testing and validation
· Skills:
· Expertise in thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics
· Proficiency in thermal simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, ANSYS) and testing equipment
· Strong analytical and communication skills
· Use of IPEmotion software is a plus
· US citizen
Position Responsibilities:
· System Verification and Testing:
· Conduct system and component-level testing for advanced thermal management systems and hardware
· Coordinate with test labs and facilities to execute tests in alignment with engineering requirements
· Analyze and summarize test data, comparing results to established benchmarks and standards
· Data Reporting and Feedback:
· Deliver detailed reports on test outcomes to platform leads, highlighting compliance and recommending next steps
· Provide feedback on core engineering specifications and suggest revisions for future development
· Collaboration and Communication:
· Attend weekly meetings with the OEM’s thermal systems team to discuss deliverables and next steps
· Act as a liaison between the parent employer and the OEM to ensure seamless project execution.
· Travel and Documentation:
· Support domestic and international travel as needed for testing and validation activities.
· Prepare comprehensive documentation, including test plans, results, and compliance summaries.
