We are currently partnering with an exceptional company that provides metalworking products to the Industrial Sector through an established distribution network in the United States. Our Client is searching for a Technical Sales Engineer to work from a remote office within the assigned territory. This person is to be responsible for managing the sales and business development operations for an organization which manufactures metalworking cutting tools. This person will provide tactical and strategic sales leadership, driving revenue growth through direct sales calls and new business development.
This individual will inherit a somewhat established territory (lots of low haning fruit and room to grow!) covering the Central Texas market. Should be limited to no overnight travel outside of trade shows and company training.
Position Summary:
· Develop and oversee sales strategies that will have a direct impact on the company’s revenue and profitability.
· Lead, manage and teach all phases of the sales process from prospecting and presenting to negotiating and closing
· Participates and encourages quality assessment, profitability, and improvement activities
. Territory includes Austin, San Antonio up to the Waco area.
MUST HAVES:
· Minimum of 3+ years successful sales experience in the METALWORKING Industry (preferably metalworking cutting tools)
· Proven ability to drive sales in a highly competitive market
· Experience calling on an Industrial Distribution network
· Planning skills, budgeting and forecasting experience
· Flexible to travel overnight at times of the year (mostly trade shows, annual sales meetings, training, etc.)
