Position Highlights

·    Title: Resident Engineer

Background Requirements

·    4-year degree from a college or university, preferably Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; or equivalent work related experience.

·    2+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering in the Automotive Industry

·    Understanding of Diagnostic tools

·    Experience with OEM systems and procedures

·    Experience with electromechanical components, including diagnostics, CANoe, CAD

·    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·    Strong understand of Quality systems and problem solving tools

·    Ability to establish relationships

·    Ability to travel to customer facilities, both domestically and internationally, including Mexico and Canada.

Job Responsibilities

·    Work with Tesla / Lucid DRE to Initiate or approve, track and record Engineering work Orders (ECRs)

·    Support all Product Development Team Meetings (PDT)

·    Initiate, track and record Engineering Change Proposals (ECP)

·    Obtain Approvals (ADVP&R, 5Phase, TALC, AAR)

·    Review schematics and facilitate Drawing/Math Data creation (ICD)

·    Support Warranty Analysis and tracking

·    Provide support for A/B Samples (prototype or production FOT parts, essentially DV level), RC2 (OTOP, Essentially PV Level), Pre-Pilot/Quality Build (All Components PPAP’d), Pilot 1 (Customer Saleable, Home-lined), Pilot 2 (Customer Saleable, Home-lined) builds.

·    Provide Tesla / Lucid production plant support for A/B Samples (prototype or production FOT parts, essentially DV level), RC2 (OTOP, Essentially PV Level), Pre-Pilot/Quality Build (All Components PPAP’d), Pilot 1 (Customer Saleable, Home-lined), Pilot 2 (Customer Saleable, Home-lined) builds.

·    Provide component and system testing support

·    Attend as required – Design Reviews, Virtual Build Reviews, vehicle build mock-up reviews, Tesla / Lucid Group Meetings, Tesla / Lucid Employee Meetings, etc

·    Attend design Staff meetings on site to coach and or re-direct new product developments for manufacturability, fitting within global design requirements using existing designs and supporting new design needs from the customer when required.

·    Contact new local Tier 1 customers to facilitate Timing, PPAP, and parts needs

·    Aid in new business opportunities through customer meetings and developed relationships.
