We are partnering with our client who is a global automotive supplier, looking for a Controls Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain control systems for automated production lines.
  • Program, configure, and optimize PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces) for manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to control systems and automation processes.
  • Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
  • Implement continuous improvement strategies to reduce downtime, enhance product quality, and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain up-to-date documentation of control systems and processes.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for system failures.
  • Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades.
  • Stay current with the latest control technologies, industry standards, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in control systems engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar).
  • Experience with HMI development and SCADA systems.
  • Strong understanding of industrial automation, instrumentation, and electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with robotics and motion control is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical documentation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in automotive manufacturing or related industry.
  • Familiarity with Industry 4.0 concepts, IoT, and data analytics for manufacturing optimization.
  • Project management experience in automation or control systems.
