Controls Engineer (JB Copy)

We are partnering with our client who is a global automotive supplier, looking for a Controls Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain control systems for automated production lines.
- Program, configure, and optimize PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces) for manufacturing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to control systems and automation processes.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
- Implement continuous improvement strategies to reduce downtime, enhance product quality, and improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain up-to-date documentation of control systems and processes.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for system failures.
- Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades.
- Stay current with the latest control technologies, industry standards, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in control systems engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or similar).
- Experience with HMI development and SCADA systems.
- Strong understanding of industrial automation, instrumentation, and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with robotics and motion control is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in automotive manufacturing or related industry.
- Familiarity with Industry 4.0 concepts, IoT, and data analytics for manufacturing optimization.
- Project management experience in automation or control systems.
